My Testimonies

My Calling Journey!

I’m Annet Birungi Petch, this is my life before, and after the calling, a testimony of how God continues to guide, teach, and shaped me through His Spirit.”

My Life Before Christ

Before I met Christ, I was a married woman who loved doing business. My husband and I were poor, but because we lived in the city, many people from our village believed I had married a rich man. I kept our real situation a secret and encouraged myself to work hard so that one day I could reach the level they imagined.
During this time, my husband joined a Born Again church without my knowledge. Whenever he went for fellowship, he told me he was attending burials. Later, he confessed the truth and invited me to join him. I was afraid because of the rumors I had heard about born-again churches—lies that people claimed Jesus told certain men and women to love each other in church. But he told me to trust him, and I agreed. Read More.

I attended the church for about six months, but I had not yet accepted Jesus as my Savior. I loved the songs and watching people pray, fall under the power, and testify. It was a big cathedral church—well built, organized, and full of people. I saw many miracles, but I never heard a message that touched or transformed my heart.

Several evangelists also preached to me. Many invited me to their churches, and sometimes I would confess salvation, but I had no true commitment. When Sunday came, I often hid inside the house, telling people to inform the evangelists that I had already gone to church, even when I had not. Some days I went to the cathedral church, and other days I returned to the Catholic church, which was my parents’ faith. When I got married, I was baptized in a Pentecostal church and sometimes prayed there too. At that time, I had no idea that one day God would call me into ministry. I only knew that God existed, and I feared Him.

One day, while sitting in front of my house, some evangelists came and asked if I was saved. I told them honestly: “I got saved, but my heart is not yet changed.” They read Scripture to me, prayed for me, and invited me to their church. For the first time, I felt my heart touched. I told my husband what happened. He discouraged me from going, saying their church was only a wooden structure with five members, most of them children. My friend also agreed with him. But my heart refused to listen. After some time, my husband told me to follow my heart.

I joined the church—Holy Zion Church in Ggaba, Uganda—pastored by Rev. Philip Muwangunzi. The pastor and elders visited me, prayed with me, and helped me grow. For the first time in my life, I felt a deep desire to know God.

I can never forget a man who dedicated much of his time to teach and encourage me: Israel Lubimbi. He always shared the Word in a way that helped me trust God completely. Whatever I believed God for, He did it. My faith became stronger than my prayers.

Through faith, God opened the door for me to begin serving Him in ways that surprised everyone. I had only been in the church for one year, yet the grace of God was evident in my life. That is when my journey of salvation truly began.

My Encounter With Jesus
One day, I went to the hospital to deliver my baby. I had struggled with a pregnancy that lasted one year and four months without giving birth. When the time finally came, my mother, stepmother, and other relatives escorted me to the hospital. The doctors prepared to take me to the theatre for surgery, but when they examined me, they said, “This woman is already almost gone. Let us first save those who are still alive.” They worked on other women before returning to me. Read More

When they finally operated on me, the doctors had no hope that I would survive. They removed my baby boy, but after fifteen minutes, he passed away. I went into a deep coma, and the doctors left me on the side as they attended to others. My family waited for many hours, and when they were told I had lost the baby, they were not given the full truth about how close I was to death.

As they continued giving me blood and fluids, everything was flowing out through the surgery wound. Inside my heart, I felt my life slipping away. Then I remembered something my stepmother whispered to me before entering the theatre: “Call Mary, the mother of Jesus, to pray for you.” When that memory came back, I wondered, Why should I pray through Mary when I can speak to Jesus directly?

Right there in my heart, I started calling on Jesus. I reminded Him that I had accepted Him as my Savior, and I made a vow: “If You heal me, I will not return to business, but I will serve You and dedicate my whole life to You.” I repeated this vow many times—even though I could not count how many.

My life returned, but two days later, the senior doctor came to check on the patients. He decided to start with the one with the “white and organized bed,” but when he reached me, he found me lying in blood. Everyone had left to bury my baby except my grandmother, who kept washing and changing the sheets without knowing how serious my condition was.

The doctor rushed me back for another emergency surgery. Again, I repeated the same vow to Jesus. The doctors did not believe I would survive. They even asked my religion and prayed, but they said openly that they did not expect me to live. But inside my heart, I kept saying, “Jesus will have mercy on me.” I believed I would come back alive.

After the surgery, I died three times in front of my mother and relatives. Each time, as my life left my body, I felt myself being pulled upward like a magnet. Suddenly, I found myself standing before a great gate. A man stood there, escorted by two soldiers holding swords. Everything was clear, but difficult to explain in human words.

The same words I had been praying—my vow—were being repeated in a smooth, gentle, calm, holy, and beautiful voice. I was amazed at the way the voice spoke. Then the man at the gate said to me, “Go back and do what you promised.”

My spirit returned to my body, and I found my family crying. They told me I had died and come back. I asked them if they saw what I saw, but they could only confirm that I was gone and then came back to life.

I share this because this was the beginning of my certainty that Jesus is alive and real. Within four days, I completely recovered. All the doctors came to see me as they celebrated what God had done, saying they had never seen someone so close to death recover like that. They told me to go and serve the God who healed me.

When I left the hospital, my heart carried one question:
“How can I serve the God who saved my life?”

That is where my calling journey began.

How I Started Serving God
When I left the hospital, one question remained in my heart:
“How can I serve the God who saved my life?”
No one else knew this question, but it never left my spirit.
In 2006, I continued attending the small wooden church I had joined earlier. It had only a few members, but I went to every service and joined the evangelism group. I preached the gospel from door to door and visited hospitals. I did not miss a single day. Yet, even after doing all this, my heart kept telling me that I had not yet started serving God fully.
In 2008, the church appointed me as the women’s leader and the church treasurer. I formed a women’s fellowship called “Sarom Women of Faith.” We opened branches in different villages and towns, and I helped the women financially to start small projects. Still, my heart felt empty, as if something was missing.

I later began organizing crusades, gospel outreaches, and revival meetings. I invited Bible teachers, pastors, and church leaders from many denominations to minister in different places. I formed another ministry group called “Keep Fire Burning.” God provided for everything, and we served Him well. But again, deep in my heart, I felt that this was not yet what God wanted me to do.

My spirit kept telling me:
“Ask God what exactly He wants you to do.”

That is when I began seeking God with fasting and long prayers. I spent time on prayer mountains and slept in the church while praying. One day, I heard a voice saying:
“I will take you to school. You will learn, and then you will serve Me.”

I thought God meant a physical school, so I enrolled and continued my education. Later, I realized I misunderstood His voice.

Then one day, the voice of God came clearly:
“You are going to leave everything and go where I am sending you.”

I thought about my ministry, Sarom Women of Faith…
I thought about Keep Fire Burning…
I thought about my marriage…
And I cried out, “Lord, I am not ready to leave. Let me continue with these ministries. And I am not ready to leave my marriage.”

That was when I learned a deep truth:
Serving God is not about doing great works; it is about obeying His voice.
Obedience felt heavy—like carrying a stone, sitting on needles, or lifting a burden with my own strength. God was giving me instructions that would lead to success, but my heart was full of fear and resistance.

I struggled to accept His will. I prayed asking God to agree with my will, but He would not. Then difficult times began. My marriage broke. I lost everything I had. My life became empty until the day I finally accepted God’s call, even though I still did not know where He wanted me to go or what I was going to do.

I accepted His will—but I gave God a condition:
“Restore my marriage and everything I lost after I finish the work.”

Soon, God sent several people to tell me the same message:
He was sending me to South Sudan to serve Him before the war would come.
It was in 2011. I obeyed and went.

The church in South Sudan started and grew quickly. Many people joined. Just when I started enjoying the work, God spoke again:
“Your work here is done. You must go back to Uganda.”

I felt heartbroken, because I had no hope left for my marriage. The next morning, a man came to me saying,
“God says you must return to Uganda. The war is coming, and your assignment here is finished.”
I asked him if God had said anything about my marriage.
He replied,
“This is not the time to return to it. Go, and God will guide you. He is sending you to another nation very soon.”

I left South Sudan with tears. Two weeks later, the war broke out.

I tried again to return to my marriage, but nothing worked. I finally surrendered completely and followed the voice of God. That is when my writing journey began.

My first book was titled “Disobedience.” I started writing it filled with pain, wanting to warn people how disobedience had destroyed my marriage and everything I had. But as I wrote, I felt another Presence guiding me—giving me words, correcting me, and teaching me. Even though I had no home, no clothes, no business, and sometimes no food, writing gave me joy and peace. It felt like eating spiritual food.

I stayed in different places only to have shelter while writing. Many people chased me away, including relatives. People said I was mad. My mother even called asking if they should take me to the hospital because she heard I had lost my mind. I could not explain what God was doing.

One friend, Ssekyago Moreen, took me into her home and allowed me to write freely. She is one of the people I can never forget. She always asked me,
“How are you still happy after losing everything?”
I told her,
“Because I am doing the one thing that gives me peace.”

During this time, a spiritual Teacher would come to me—He lived close by. He would give me assignments and guide my writing. When I got stuck, He would know before I even realized it and give me the answer. I wrote day and night without getting tired. The more I wrote, the lighter I felt, as if a burden was being lifted.

Sometimes I wrote a whole book, but at the last page I couldn’t continue. When I looked for the Teacher, I realized He had left long ago. I would repent and ask the Holy Spirit to guide me again. When He returned, He would say,
“You left Me on page two. If you want to continue with Me, go back to page two.”
I deleted entire books many times to follow His guidance.

One day, I went behind the house crying to God, asking Him why my life was like that and who this spiritual Teacher was. As the sun was rising with a red and yellow glow, I saw two words written on it. A voice told me,
“Write down these two words. From today, this is your name.”
One of the words was “Petch.” The other I did not recognize well. The voice said,
“Go and research this name. That is who you truly are.”

When I researched the meaning of Petch, I became encouraged. From that day, I never felt discouraged again in my writing.

The book I started with the title “Disobedience” grew into another book titled “Obedience.” I wondered how a disobedient person could write about obedience. That is when God led me to sit under many Bible teachers to learn His nature.

Eventually Disobedience and Obedience became one book—
The Dominion.
As I continued learning and facing challenges, the name changed to Back to the Dominion, and from that book came five major series:

  1. God’s Government
  2. Corrupted Government
  3. Anti-Government
  4. Church Government
  5. Sanctuary Government

And many more books followed after that.

How My Ministry Began: Teaching of Faith by Annet Birungi Petch
Through writing my books, God began opening doors for me to travel. I have traveled to three countries, and in every journey, I was guided and instructed by the Holy Spirit. He directed me on which nations to go to, the nature of the people I would meet, the challenges I would face, and even the outcomes of situations I prayed about. Every challenge became a lesson that helped me write about my experiences. Despite the obstacles, I always found time to write. Writing became as close to me as a child or a beloved companion. Sometimes I could hardly follow the news of the world, because my heart and soul were fully dedicated to my writings.

I also received teaching from various pastors through online platforms. The Holy Spirit guided me to understand these teachings and apply them to my writing. Even today, I continue learning under God’s servants through online classes, never missing a single word. These classes have shaped my mind and deepened my understanding of God’s Word more than any other teaching I had received before.

Before my travels, I began small groups where I taught the Word of God. Once traveling made managing these groups difficult, I started creating WhatsApp groups to continue teaching people remotely. Some friends even invited me to teach through their groups. Later, I felt led to share God’s Word on Facebook. As more people followed me and showed interest in my teachings, I was encouraged to expand to other social media platforms.

I named my ministry SVIMinistry Network, derived from Sanctuary Village International Ministry, which had always been my prayer—to establish a ministry under this name. However, I faced challenges with a website developer who could not complete the website on time. As more people sought to learn about my ministry and writings, I decided to create a new domain and start fresh. This led to a slight change in my ministry name.

Today, my ministry is officially called “Teaching of Faith by Annet Birungi Petch.” It is steadily growing on social media and serves as the brand name for my website, annetbirungipetchbooks.com. This is the platform for everyone interested in my writings and books. I continue learning, teaching, and guiding those who follow me and are eager to grow in faith.

Summary of My Testimony and Salvation Journey
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior on the day a group of evangelists came to preach the gospel at my home. Before that moment, I had confessed my sins many times, believing that confession alone was salvation — but my life never changed. When I heard the true gospel that day, faith entered my heart, and from that moment my desire to know God and serve Him began to grow.
Through this, I learned that salvation is not based on confession alone, nor on the numbers people count in big conferences and crusades. Salvation comes by faith — when the Word of God is believed in the heart.
After receiving Christ, I began serving God in the ways I understood: preaching the gospel from door to door, visiting hospitals, praying for the sick, helping the needy, organizing crusades, and managing church ministries. People saw me as a servant of God, but deep inside I knew my heart had not yet entered the calling God prepared for me. Read More

My true journey of obedience began when God instructed me to go to South Sudan and start ministry there. That decision in 2011 looked foolish in the eyes of people. I lost friends, marriage, business, and everything that made my life comfortable. Yet in the middle of that sacrifice, my soul found peace, rest, and joy in the Holy Spirit—a peace that was greater than titles, honor, or the ministries I had built before.

There are many people doing ministry today, praised and recognized by the world, yet they have never obeyed the voice of God concerning their true calling. They want God to follow their plans instead of following His will. But a true ministry is known by the fruit of love, peace, joy, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Without these, something is missing.

People often ask me, “What is my calling?” I used to be confused too. I could do many things—preaching, evangelizing, organizing crusades, praying for the sick, even starting churches—and people gave me different titles: apostle, prophet, evangelist. But through all the experiences, the Holy Spirit revealed my true calling:

I am a Teacher of the Word of God.

This is the gift where my soul finds peace, joy, and rest.
I teach through writing books, and through online classes and ministry platforms. The Holy Spirit sometimes adds other gifts as needed for ministry, but my foundational calling is teaching.

Many people ask if I have a physical church they can visit. My dream, instead of building a traditional church, is to build an international Bible School, a place where teachers of the Word and other ministers can train believers in truth, faith, and sound doctrine.

That dream is part of the ministry God gave me called:

Teaching of Faith by Annet Birungi Petch

My desire is for this ministry to reach nations — teaching believers from every background through books, online teachings, and Bible study programs.
If someone wants to know how I became sure of my calling, the answer is simple:

Follow my teachings, visit my platforms, and you will see the grace God has given me to teach His Word.

I am committed to taking this ministry to an international level so that wherever you are in the world, you will have access to my teachings and books. By t

he grace of God, I am moving forward step by step.

The Teachers Who Transformed My Life
Throughout my journey, God fulfilled His promise when He said, “I will take you into My class and teach you.” Besides the teachings I received in my local churches, the Lord connected me to several teachers who played a major role in shaping my spiritual understanding.
1. Teacher Grace — Prayer Mountain, Sseguku (2015)
God directed me to Sseguku Prayer Mountain and showed me that I would meet someone who would teach me. For almost two weeks, both Teacher Grace and I were there without knowing each other, until the day God finally connected us. I spent eight months under her mentorship.
She opened my eyes to the reality of the spiritual world and showed me the greatness of God above every power of darkness. This training was more than a Bible school; it combined deep spiritual teaching with practical missions.
One of the most powerful testimonies from that season was seeing a false pastor confess his dark works. God exposed how he had been sacrificing people to please his occult master so he could perform miracles. When God sent us to his home, we prayed for him, and the Holy Spirit moved powerfully. He confessed everything, and his wife—who knew nothing about these practices—had her eyes opened. He repented, turned to God, and today he serves the Living God truthfully.
From that time, the Lord continued sending me to many others who were trapped in darkness. I taught them, prayed with them, and they surrendered their lives to Jesus Read more

2. Pastor Sharif Ibrahim — World Mission Church Uganda
Later, God connected me to Pastor Sharif Ibrahim. He taught me, encouraged me, and strengthened my understanding of God’s dominion. When he discovered that I was writing about the Dominion of God, he was very excited and helped me go deeper in that message. His support pushed me to continue writing my book.

3. Pastor Ambrose & Teacher Eva — Christ Love Ministry Uganda (Online Class)
Finally, while working in my salon in the UAE, I met a lady named Aggines. She told me about an online Bible class led by Pastor Ambrose and Teacher Eva from Christ Love Ministry Uganda. I joined the class, and it greatly expanded my understanding of the Word of God.
Through their teachings, I gained deeper revelation about God’s love, our identity in Christ, our authority as believers, and many foundational truths of Christianity. Their lessons helped me grow not just in knowledge, but also in confidence in my calling.

I cannot write everything I learned from these teachers, because the testimonies are too many. But my books carry the fruit of those teachings.

Conclusion
As I look back on my journey, I share this testimony for one purpose—to glorify Jesus Christ, who rescued me, taught me, and shaped me into who I am today. Everything I am, and everything I do, is because of His grace. I was once lost in religion, activities, and self-effort, but through faith and obedience, the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to know the truth and walk in it. He gave me peace, joy, and rest that I never found in ministry work done in my own strength.
Today, I stand confident in my calling as a teacher of the Word of God. Through my writings, online classes, and teachings, my heart’s desire is to help believers understand their identity in Christ, walk in dominion, and live by the revelation of God’s Word. My dream is not simply to build a church building, but to establish a Bible school where people from all nations can be taught, trained, and transformed by the truth of Scripture. Read More
